I’m voting for Sarah Palin… and that guy she’s running with

September 4th, 2008 by Republican By Default

Did you notice that little puff of smoke rising in the distance? It was Barry’s last hope of winning this election going up in flames.

I listened to some of the RNC speeches tonight. Rudy skewered Barry and had a lot of fun doing it. But the highlight was Sarah Palin.

At one point during the speech I actually felt sorry for Barry, losing the election this badly. Sarah Palin successfully skewered what was left after Rudy had finished with him.

I have to admit, I was holding off on blasting McCain (ok, I held back on the one barrel) until after the VP pick was announced. If it was a conservative, I would vote for him. If not, he’d get the other barrel in hopes that we would be able to pick someone else in four years.

My plan was to under-vote the presidency. In the state of Washington where I live, if my vote could have made a difference it would have been a landslide across the country. When competing with Seattle, there’s no way that a Republican can win this state (and I’m not just talking about the number of voters, it’s also about how they’re counted.) The only way I would have gone back on that is on the off-chance that the polls were close right before the election. But all that has changed.

Now, just a heartbeat away from the presidency, is a conservative. And not just any conservative. She’s a she, unlike the other ticket. She’s smart. She has executive branch experience (as opposed to none on the other ticket.) She’s funny. She came out swinging and she doesn’t pull punches. She’s no shrinking violet. She demonstrated a clear understanding of foreign policy, energy policy, government corruption, family values, compassion for the disabled, patriotism, support for the military and their mission, terrorism, and a bunch of other issues that are important to me.

She’s a conservative Christian. She demonstrated her family values by how she handled the announcement by her daughter that she was pregnant out of wedlock. By the way, in the Bible there is allowance given for those situations, and it includes marriage. So I had little doubt that conservative Christians wouldn’t be bothered by it.

And proving that she’s the right choice is the entire left side of the media and politics in America. As Rudy put it, “I didn’t think it was possible for the liberal media to unite the Republican party in just two days.” So thanks to all of you for helping to prove that Sarah Palin is the right choice for Vice President of the United States. Just think. She’ll be the first.

Sarah Palin delivered an absolutely fantastic speech last night. No objective and honest analyst can deny that she completely hit it out of the park. I still have concerns and apprehensions about her, but I have to admit I feel a lot better about her this morning than I did a few days ago. Well done Sarah.

Most women know what it means to have a pregnant daughter and unmarried, in fact I was one of those daughters. Most women know what it is like to care for a husband, raise children, and work full time ( and sometimes overtime). My vote is for John McCain and Sarah Palin !!

    CA and CALI

Its apparent you two have not been listening. You both seem to be missing something . Palin is a puff of smoke sent to con people like you. Read between the lines. She a con.

I’m sorry, fg, don’t you mean Obama? Palin is the real deal. Obama is an empty suit.

Maybe you’re someone who doesn’t recognize substance, or the lack of it. The junior senator / Chicago politician is the con man.
